FAQ

Questions, answered.

What is AppySeat?

A booking platform for corporate team dinners. Companies book a table at a real restaurant, everyone pre-orders their meal ahead of time, and the whole group gets one consolidated bill — no group chat, no splitting the check at the table.

How much does it cost?

The restaurant's menu price goes straight to them, as normal. AppySeat charges a separate, simple per-person booking fee, priced differently for dinner and lunch: dinner is tiered (€3.50/person occasional, €2.90/person regular, custom for 10+ bookings/month), while lunch is a flat €1.00/person at any volume — so booking lunch every workday doesn't compound into a huge bill. See the pricing section on the For Companies page for the full breakdown.

Which cities are you in?

We're currently running a hands-on pilot with restaurants in Berlin.

How does pre-ordering work?

Once a table is booked, everyone on the team picks their meal ahead of time from the restaurant's menu. That means food comes out faster and nobody's waiting around once the group sits down.

Is it free for restaurants to join?

Yes. There's no software fee, no listing fee, and no charge for a normal booking — AppySeat's fee comes from the company doing the booking. Restaurants can optionally offer a discount for a slot themselves, but that's entirely their call.

How do restaurants join the pilot?

Through a short conversation and a digital consent step — not a long contract. See the For Restaurants page to get started.

What if my restaurant isn't listed yet?

The restaurants directory also shows places we know about in Berlin but haven't partnered with yet, marked "Unclaimed." If you run one of those and want it added — or removed — there's a link on that listing's page to get in touch.
